I don't mind hearing the SC whine a little bit, but I don't want the car to be loud, or sound modified just sitting there idling. Quality! Willing to pay more for better quality/durability.It has to start and run perfectly at 100 degrees F or -20 degrees F. I don't want a science fair project with this car. I expect I'd need to find a local competent tuner to dyno tune it for my elevation and I'm not opposed to outsourcing all of the work since I have more money than time at this stage in my life. I've always done all my own wrenching and I have air and all the tools I could need. I'd be willing to spend 10-15k to get it done. For the SS, I want to retain it's low profile nature and keep it quiet and comfortable. What makes it a good track car, is not ideal for a street car. It's a hoot, but its loud and rough and tiresome to drive frequently on the street. I already own a heavily modified boosted car (turbo). The car will not be raced, just a fast daily driver. 450-500 at the wheels sounds good for a street car and longevity of the engine and trans. I'd like to explore my boost options for a 2015 A6 SS to make up the atmospheric pressure difference and then some.
